It’s a 40-track album that preserves her landmark performance at last year’s Coachella, but Beyonce’s latest release also has a piece of the Middle East on its cover.
The superstar singer dropped her Homecoming album on April 17, tying in with the release of her documentary of the same name on Netflix.
The album contains the 37-year-old’s full set list from the Californian music festival, with Beyonce posing on the artwork in a minimal black-and-white portrait.
The mother-of-three can be seen clutching a bejewelled headpiece, which was crafted for the singer by Nicolas Jebran.
“Another day, another iconic moment … Beyonce launches her new album in a custom-made headpiece,” the Lebanese designer posted on Instagram, revealing his work. “I can’t get over this beauty.”
It’s not the first time the star has worn pieces by Jebran, having previously championed the designer at the 2018 Grammy Awards in a black, velvet cold-shouldered gown.
The singer has also sported Arab labels such as Azzi & Osta, Death by Dolls and Zuhair Murad during her career.
“Taking the headlines to a totally new level… Beyonce never ceases to amaze the world,” Jebran’s official brand Instagram added, sharing images of her album cover.
As well as Beyonce’s solo tracks, Homecoming also features Jay Z, J Balvin and her Destiny’s Child band mates Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland. Beyonce and Jay Z’s eldest daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, also sings one song, Lift Every Voice and Sing; it is listed as “Blue’s Version”.
